RPL policy (Recognition of Prior Learning)

For the policy regarding the validation of non-formal and informal learning, the VHEI refers to: Cedefop (2016). European guidelines for the validation of non-formal and informal learning. Luxembourg: Publications office. Cedefop reference series; No 104. http://dx.doi.org/10.2801/280994.

According to these guidelines, the validation is based on 4 fundamental steps:

1. Identification of the learning outcomes obtained by the person through non-formal and informal learning:

2. Documentation of the learning outcomes obtained by the person through non-formal and informal learning;

3. Evaluation  of  the  learning  outcomes  obtained  by  the  person  through  non-formal  and informal learning;

4. Certification of the evaluation of learning outcomes obtained by the person through non-formal and informal learning in the form of a qualification or credits that contribute to obtaining a qualification or, where appropriate, another form.
