About This Course

This is a core module for both specializations.

The course objective is to provide students with a sound theoretical background about the history, the basics and criticism of animation and videogames through the study and analysis of the two sectors and the origins of the productions that made them famous:  from Atari to Disney, Pixar Nintendo, Studio Ghibli to Sony and many others, paying attention to other media such as film, TV, theatre and comics, and analyzing those particular forms definable as artistic avant-gardes.
